Supply chain decision-making for low-frequency high-impact events
Julian’s research focus is on disaster management in supply chains and how to cope with low-frequency high-impact events. For instance, in humanitarian supply chains the availability of relief items can be a matter of life and death after disasters strike. Hence, being prepared is crucial for a successful disaster response. For his PhD project, Julian is working with humanitarian organizations to study the preparedness in such supply chains.
