Proudly announcing the faculty's new name: Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam School of Business and Economics

As of the first of September, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEWEB) changes its name to the School of Business and Economics (SBE).

The name change is part of the School’s strategy and is in line with the ambitions regarding internationalisation. In a world where business, society and environment are closely related and interact at an increasingly global scale, SBE continues to expand its scope. We will further increase the range of English-taught study programmes, work on obtaining the AACSB accreditations in Business and in Accounting, intensify our cooperation with the private sector and improve the exchange of knowledge with our partner universities.

More than just enhancing our international recognition, SBE reflects the broad scope of our activities and the quality of our teaching and research.

“We are very excited to move forward in our transformation into a truly international School and remain united in our commitment to excellence.”
    - Willem Verschoor, Dean

The School of Business and Economics will celebrate its new name with a seminar entitled ‘Building a Bright Future’ on 21 November.
